Sikkim - Along the Singalila Ridge and Kangchenjunga south-east
A little bit later and from the same viewpoint as before
On a walk above Dzongri (it was a rest day). I got a good view of the large valley that we would walk down into the next day and then floow up to the Goeche La. The summit in the background is Pandim
A steep descent into the forest and then walk on the valley floor up to Thangsing. Good views of Pandim and Tenshing peaks
We have finally left all the clouds and rain behind and the weather is great. Getting closer to the mountains and Kangchenjunga

Our group's kitchen tent as well as the "kitchen horse". All the other pack animals were yaks.
I went wandering about above Samity lake, following a ridge along the lateral moraine of the Onglaktang glacier. What a peace in this world of rock, ice and sky!

The summit of Kangchenjunga. At 8586m it is the third highest mountain in the world after Everest and K2. The huge southeast face has never been climbed.
