Sikkim - Kangchenjunga south-east and the Goecha La pass |
The south-east face of Kangchenjunga. At the foot of the mountain you can see some trekkers just reaching the Goeche La pass. The peak in the image is actually the South peak of Kangchenjunga, which is about 100mf lower than the main peak. |
Prayer flags at the pass. The Goecha La is located at 4940m. There is a route that continues northwards towrds the Talung glacier but this will be as far as we go on this trip. |

| 8 yetis on the Goecha La. We were incredibly fortunate to have good weather throughout the day. Most of the time it clouds over shortly after sunrise. |
