Day 3 - Shinchewa to Ponphe (1880m) - continued

 

We carry on along the hill on a narrow path meandering through millet terraces. Early camp at Ponphe. Our sirdar doesn't want to go on and camp at Mamankhe because there are too many Maoist guerillas there.

Nice camp overlooking the valley and we use the extra time to do some washing and relaxing.

Day 4 - Ponphe to Yamphudin (1721m)

 

Steep descent to the river where we cross another Swiss-made bridge before ascending to Mamankhe. No Maoists, they seem to have moved.

 

We follow the contour of the hills, ''undulating' then down towards the Khabeli Khola
